Health Canada has received an application from Moderna to authorize use of its COVID-19 Spikevax vaccine in young children.

The application was received Friday, according to the Health Canada website, and would affect children between the ages of six months to five years. Currently, children under five years old aren’t eligible for COVID-19 vaccination.

The company applied for emergency use authorization for young children in the U.S. this week as well.

Nunavut and Nunavik rolled out vaccines for children aged five to 11 in November.

Canada is in the midst of yet another wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, most jurisdictions have stopped tracking cases and nearly all COVID-19 related restrictions across the country have been lifted.

Health Canada did not immediately respond to questions regarding how long it might take the department to review the application, and there is no indication on when it could roll out upon approval.

    Great news.

Give us methods to protect ourselves so we can stop traumatizing the people who seem not to be able to wear masks for whatever reason.

Anyone who wishes to wear a mask for religious reasons (there is no other reason to wear a mask) should be granted an exemption to wear a mask anywhere and anytime they’d like.

No carded proof of religious affiliation is required; the desire to wear a mask is proof enough

Ironic use of the word insanity.

You think so? Then look at what China is doing to its people in the name of covid, and then look at the death rate. Then look at the reasons for their passing. Perhaps your opinions on the definition of ‘insanity’ need some updating and tuning! Perhaps you should educate yourself outside of the legacy and also redefine the word ‘ironic.’ You may very well be up to your eyes in water so hot you can no longer see the world as you thought!

Dear John K, how does doing your own research minimalize anything? Isnt the concept of research meant to broaden the subject’s horizon, sort to speak?

I’m sincerely curious when you distinguish between ‘doing your own research’ as a genuine act of educating yourself on an issue, and “dO yOuR oWn ReSeArCh!!” as giving license to confirmation bias?
