- B — Nancy Karetak-Lindell, the former Liberal MP for Nunavut, was chosen by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to succeed Dennis Patterso, who retired in December 2023.
- C — It was NCC Development, which is being counted on to oversee construction of about 2,000 of the 3,000 new housing units to be built by the year 2030 under the Nunavut 3000 program.
- B — While rumblings from Ottawa suggest a federal election could be called sooner, officially the next federal election must be held no later than Oct. 20, 2025, according to federal election laws. Nunavut’s territorial election is scheduled for Oct. 27, 2025. And then six days after that, residents of Nunavik will go to the polls on Nov. 2 as municipal elections are held across Quebec.
- C — Russia wants to claim control of the Gakkel Ridge, which none of the world’s eight Arctic nations currently have sovereign rights over.
