People in Iqaluit reminded to update their address with Service Canada

Service Canada is reminding people in Iqaluit to make sure their mailing address is up to date because Canada Post will no longer deliver mail addressed to defunct postal codes after Oct. 31.
The federal agency issued a news release Monday with the reminder.
The city moved to a new address system in October 2023 with the opening of a new post office. Instead of PO boxes, each resident now uses a civic address.
This also brought in a change in postal codes. Postal codes X0A 0H0 and X0A 1H0 are no longer active. Two new postal codes, X0A 2H0 and X0A 3H0, have been added.
Mail has been temporarily redirected by Canada Post to the new addresses, but the transition was bumpy. People complained of having trouble signing up for a civic address, long delays in receiving mail, and Nunavut’s information and privacy commissioner warned the situation could result in privacy breaches.
Many Iqaluit residents rely on Service Canada for benefits and services, such as Canada Pension Plan, Canada Pension Plan Disability and Employment Insurance.
For address updates, Iqaluit residents can phone 1-877-631-2657; visit the Iqaluit Service Canada Centre at 100-933 Mivvik St.; or visit the Service Canada website.
And yet, some stores, and even some credit cards, still only allow 0H0. Might wanna think about extending that until January.
I was told it would be re-directed for 1 year now its end of october
It changed last october and your last chance to change it is this october. That is one year.
