It was smiles all around in Kimmirut as Qaqqalik School teachers, health centre staff and RCMP officers came together to serve breakfast to more than 250 people in the community on June 22. The event aimed to support access to nutritious food. Along with a hot breakfast, kids were given a lunch bag to take home. It was all well received, said teacher Edward Flynn. “I was blown away by the turnout and the appreciation shown by community members.” Shown enjoying their breakfast, from left, are Tyler Sagiaktuk, Pudloo Kolola, Noah Akavak, Jamesie Eeyeevadluk, Nicholas Ell and Tommy Kolola.
