Government of Nunavut offices in Pangnirtung are closed Wednesday due to poor weather, the GN announced in a news release Wednesday.
The community experienced cloudy conditions with 40 km/h winds gusting to 60 km/h on Wednesday afternoon, according to Environment Canada. Wind speeds are projected to increase as high 60 km/h by evening, gusting to 90 km/h, with a low of 2 C.
The weather is not expected to improve. Thursday’s forecast shows a chance of flurries or rain showers, with rain expected to continue through the rest of the week.

I hope that’s not a picture of the current conditions. 60km wind gusts? Oh no!
Just say you wanted another gn holiday.
So a routine GN weather closure is now newsworthy?
