Coral Harbour needs a new mayor – but no one is saying why

Byelection scheduled for April 15; in elections last October all posts were filled by acclamation

Voters in Coral Harbour are being asked to elect a new mayor, just months after Kupapik Ningeocheak was acclaimed to that position for a four-year term. Elections Nunavut confirmed a byelection in the hamlet is scheduled for April 15.

Amber Aglukark sworn in as newest Iqaluit councillor

MLAs don pink for anti-bullying day

Some Nunavut MLAs wore pink shirts and other accessories in the legislative assembly Wednesday as part of a national anti-bullying initiative. Across Canada, Feb. 28 is Pink Shirt Day, when schools and other organizations raise awareness and call for an end to bullying.
