Like two ships passing …

The National Geographic Explorer, operated by Lindblad Maritime Enterprises, sits anchored Monday in Iqaluit’s Koojesse Inlet. The ship carries passengers on an expedition called Baffin Island: Exploring Canada’s Wild Arctic Frontier. Live on air in Rankin Inlet

Radio announcer Emma Okalik plays a song by late Chesterfield Inlet recording artist Charlie Panigoniak during her shift at Rankin Inlet’s 97.9 FM radio station on Thursday. Operated by the Tagjaaraqpaluk Radio Society, the channel broadcasts music, birthday greetings, happy anniversary messages and public service announcements.
