MLAs pose outside the legislative assembly in Iqaluit Monday with Aluki Kotierk, president of Nunavut Tunngavik Inc., for the unveiling of a flag to celebrate the territory’s 25th anniversary. April 1 will mark 25 years since the establishment of the territory of Nunavut. Holding the flag are, from left, Tony Akoak, legislative assembly speaker; Kotierk; Pamela Gross, deputy premier; Janet Pitsiulaaq Brewster, MLA for Iqaluit-Sinaa; and Craig Simailak, MLA for Baker Lake.
