Jaypetee Audlakiak finishes first in 5-way byelection race
Jaypetee Audlakiak was sworn in as mayor of Sanirajak on Thursday, three days after winning a byelection in the hamlet of about 900 people. Audlakiak received 47 votes, according to results posted on Facebook by Elections Nunavut.
Canadian rock band Trooper performs in Cambridge Bay as part of the Kitikmeot Trade Show. The group behind the 1978 hit “Raise a Little Hell” played two shows in the community, on Feb. 20 and 21.
