Garneau announces $71.7M in infrastructure spending for Nunavut

Marc Garneau, Canada’s minister of transport, and his Nunavut counterpart, David Akeeagok, announce $71.7 million in federal infrastructure spending in Iqaluit on Tuesday, Aug. 13. Funded projects include the renovation of Rankin Inlet’s airport terminal building, the completion of preparatory work needed for the construction of the Grays Bay Road and Port Project, the study and design of an all-season road that will improve connectivity in the Kivalliq region and the installation of passenger boarding ramps at airport terminals in seven communities. Walrus for breakfast
