Amendment that would let store to operate next to Northmart passed by city council
The Government of Nunavut has denied the City of Iqaluit an amendment to a zoning bylaw that will allow a cannabis store to open downtown. Council voted in favour of the amendment on Aug. 9. It would allow Higher Experience Inc.
It was a busy day on Qikiqtarjuaq’s waterfront on Monday as the season’s first sealift arrived the same morning as a passenger cruise ship. The Rosaire A Desgagnés cargo ship, left, arrived in the early morning, bringing shipments for residents and a municipal vehicle, while Aurora Expeditions’ Greg Mortimer carried passengers to visit the hamlet.
