Tuesday search for missing Iqaluit teen uncovers no new signs

Searchers on snowmobiles have been looking around Iqaluit for Ambar Roy, but without success. On Tuesday, Nunavut Emergency Management co-ordinated 34 volunteer and RCMP snowmobile operators to search an area about 10 kilometres NNE of Iqaluit. “Unfortunately, the search teams were unable to locate Ambar or any articles of clothing he was last seen wearing,” police said. They also said that snow storms on Saturday and Monday “hampered the search areas.” You can read more about the search for Roy on Nunatsiaq News. (Photo by Jane George)
